What is your professional background?
Prior to Congress Wealth Management, I was a portfolio analyst at GW&K Investment Management, a boutique investment management firm located in Boston’s Back Bay.
What guides your financial principles?
I believe in being fiscally responsible, never spending more than you make, and never getting too high or too low, no matter what is happening in the markets.
With regards to finances, what do you feel like is good advice to live by?
Invest early and often – the younger, the better. Spend less than you make and always pay your credit card in full.
What brings you the most satisfaction professionally?
I enjoy helping solve problems for clients no matter how big or small. I also enjoy helping clients reach their financial goals, whatever they may be.
What is the best advice you’ve ever received?
Buy stock of quality, dividend paying companies, with high barriers to entry, and never sell them.
What is your favorite movie / book / album / TV show and why?
My favorite TV show of all time is the The Wire. It’s just so real and the acting is incredible.
When and where are you happiest?
On the boat with my wife, family, and dog somewhere off the coast of Stonington, CT.
How do you spend your free time (hobbies, interests)?
I spend the majority of my free time on water rather than on land. You’ll usually find me boating, fishing, surfing, and swimming either around Stonington, CT or Manchester-by-the-Sea, MA. In the winter, I cook a lot and ski when I get the chance.
