Frequently Asked Questions

Choosing a wealth management firm comes with plenty of questions. Here are a few of the most common ones we get asked.

  • Why do I need a wealth manager? Can’t I do all this myself?

Accumulating wealth creates both uncommon opportunities and imposing challenges. Families of considerable wealth are faced with an array of unique needs. Our planning and investing discipline will align your financial goals with your life and legacy goals and eliminate the layers of stress that come from self-management.

  • Who are your clients?

We have clients of all ages and from a variety of backgrounds, such as technology, medicine, higher education, entertainment and finance. Our private client group consists largely of pre-retirees and retirees who want their money managed by an independent firm. As a whole, our clients work with us not just to receive high-quality investment and financial solutions, but to benefit from a customer service model design that ensures a deep understanding of their situation and goals.

  • What are your fees and account minimums?

We generally charge a management fee based upon a percentage of the total value of the assets we manage. We do not receive commissions on transactions and we accept no other forms of compensation from investment product providers or financial institutions. We work with qualified investors with a minimum of liquid investable assets of $500,000. For complete details on our fees structure, please review our ADV Brochure.

  • What makes your firm unique?

    Where do we start?

    1. We have a unique pedigree. Working in concert with our affiliate Congress Asset Management Company has allowed us to offer our clients both institutional quality portfolios as well as a superior service model designed to assist our high-net-worth families with the stewardship of their wealth.
    2. We are 100% independent and objective. Congress Wealth Management is majority-owned by members of our Management Team. This ownership structure provides both stability and peace-of-mind to clients who know they will work with the same talented people for a long, long time.
    3. We are guided by a culture of innovation that has allowed us to successfully meet the wealth and legacy needs of our clients today and for future generations. The values of our firm have been molded from our deep-rooted desire to build long-lasting, substantive relationships with our clients.
